Dear guests,
We are preparing an exciting new addition for the upcoming seasons. Our current offer of six chalets will be expanded with five additional chalets, which are currently undergoing renovation. These, too, will be designed with comfort, privacy, and a genuine connection to nature in mind, while offering modern design and top-quality amenities.

The first of these fully renovated, luxuriously equipped chalets will open its doors in May 2026.

We are proud to present a new luxury chalet in our offer. Chalet Kati will open its doors in May 2024. It is the newest offering on Velika planina, renovated in April 2024. The extensive renovation transformed the Kati chalet into a luxury accommodation. While its exterior reflects carefully designed traditional architecture, its interior offers an extremely comfortable, ultra-modern experience. It has everything you could want for a relaxed and carefree vacation in the mountains. Welcome!

Two of the first guests that stayed at Kati chalet during the May Day holidays prepared a wonderful report.

💚Just two hours from Italy there is one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen!

After taking the longest pillarless cable car in Europe and then the chairlift which took us to almost 1700 metres.

We went to visit an ancient shepherds’ village that we had wanted to see for a long time, it is said to have been inhabited since the Bronze Age.

We then witnessed an ancient tradition of how local cheese is made, and shortly afterwards we went to eat some typical dishes in a refuge including ravioli with cottage cheese, amazing!

In the end we headed towards the chalet Kati where we slept, a dream! The mix between ancient and modern won us over. While Its exterior reflects the typical architecture of local buildings, its interior offers an ultra modern experience with a spacious sauna in the living room!

We are at the Velika Planina, one of the wonders of Slovenia.

Velika planina proudly presents a new acquisition. This year, our guests can use the new, modern six-seater, which connects the upper cable car station and Gradišče, the top of Velika Planina. With the new chairlift, the ride is even faster and more comfortable. It enables easier transport of luggage and safer transport of bicycles.

The days are getting longer and the mountain is already taking on a magical spring appearance. Come and enjoy the beautiful views in unspoiled nature. Welcome to our cottages.

NOTICE Dear visitors! From 21 March to 10 April there will be a regular technical inspection of the cablecar and chairlift. Therefore, during this period, the cable car and chairlift will not operate.

We would like to inform you that from 4 October 2021 to 24 October 2021, regular annual large-scale maintenance work will take place on the cable car and chairlift, so the changed operating hours of cableway installations will apply during this time. 

The cable car will operate four times a day from Monday to Friday, October 4, 2021 – October 24, 2021, at 8:00, 9:00, 15:00 and 16:00. The cable car will operate on Saturdays and Sundays according to the regular schedule from 8:00 to 17:00, every full hour. The chairlift will operate daily from Monday to Friday twice a day at 8:30 and at 15:30. Exceptionally, the chairlift will be completely closed from Monday, October 11, 2021 to Monday, October 18, 2021 inclusive, also during the weekend.

In the “accommodation” tab you can see the Pinja, Rušovc and Lepenatka chalet, and soon pictures of the Vetrnica and Irenca chalet will also be available.

The routes up to and on the plateau are dog-friendly, particularly since most of the plateau is covered in soft grass, which is easy on the paws. Because the plateau is populated with cows, dogs must remain on a leash, and they must wear a muzzle when traveling up in the gondola.
