The drive from Kamnik to the Velika Planina cable car’s base station is a mere 15 minutes or less.
This scenic route winds through the villages of Spodnje Stanje and Zgornje Stanje. Turn right towards Stahovica at the Calcit industrial facility and continue on towards Kamniška Bistrica. After just a few minutes in the Kamniška Bistrica valley you will arrive at a big parking lot, and you will see the cable car station on your left.
